Changelog
Every version that reached the Chrome Web Store, newest first, with the date it went live. InstaDesk launched on 29 July 2026 and shipped seven releases to users in its first month. Builds that were superseded before they were uploaded are not listed here: nobody received them, so counting them would overstate the pace.
1.6.4 — 27 August 2026
- The upgrade panel now reads your real remaining free uses instead of a stale trial flag, so it no longer tells people who have run out that nothing has started.
- Unfollower tracking, bot detection and follower export became free to open — a use is only spent when you actually run the scan or the export.
- Checkout failures are visible instead of silent.
- The toolbar icon opens InstaDesk, focusing the Instagram tab you already have open rather than adding a second one.
1.6.3 — 25 August 2026
- The themed like button: a per-theme glyph and burst across all ten layered themes — a star on Galaxy, a coin on Money, a leaf on Sage Garden.
1.6.0 — 25 August 2026
- Eleven themes in three collections, restyling posts, menus and dialogs. It runs in your browser only: nobody else sees it and your account is untouched.
- Downloads made free.
- Media overlay fixes — the download and audio buttons now follow the visible carousel slide instead of only the first.
1.4.1 — 17 August 2026
- Grow account: likes and follows on hashtags, checked against your account size first, with visible caps, an explicit consent step and every action written to an activity log.
- Hashtag fit, showing which tags an account your size can realistically place in.
- The locale fix that made the toolkit work on non-English Instagram.
1.2.4 — 13 August 2026
- Store listing localised into 53 languages.
1.2.2 — 11 August 2026
- First-run setup retries until it succeeds, instead of failing silently on a slow page.
- Locale-independent navigation, so the sidebar entry is found regardless of interface language.
- Command palette, and containment so InstaDesk's keystrokes never leak into Instagram's.
1.0.0 — 29 July 2026
- First public release. Post photos, carousels, reels and stories from a desktop browser, schedule them, download media in full quality, and reuse reel audio.
What is not on this list
Several builds were finished and then superseded before they were uploaded — 1.1.2 to 1.2.1, 1.2.5 to 1.3.2, 1.5.2, 1.6.1 and 1.6.2 among them. They are not listed because no user ever ran them. The seven entries above are the releases that actually reached people, and the dates are the dates they went live rather than the dates they were built.
